Prosor criticized the publication for interviewing Israeli-American historian Omer Bartov, who has accused Israel of committing war crimes and genocidal actions. Prosor wrote an open letter to the chief editor of Der Spiegel, stating that the decision to interview Bartov on International Holocaust Remembrance Day was intentional and not the first time the publication has taken a hateful editorial line against Israel. Der Spiegel has been previously accused of spreading antisemitic ideas in its reporting on Israel.
