Fifteen Palestinian prisoners who were freed by Israel under the ceasefire agreement with Hamas have arrived in Turkey after being deported to Egypt. This is the first time a third country has taken in prisoners under the ceasefire terms. The prisoners, viewed as resistance heroes by Palestinians, were barred from returning to the Palestinian territories. Some of the prisoners may also be sent to Algeria or Qatar. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss Gaza and Iran.
