Talks have started on the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire deal, according to Hamas spokesperson Abdel-Latif Al-Qanoua. The first phase of the ceasefire, which went into effect on Jan. 19, involved a halt to fighting and the release of some hostages and prisoners. Phase two will focus on the release of remaining hostages and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is preparing to send a delegation to Qatar to discuss the implementation of the deal. Netanyahu is also set to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss the ceasefire and potential normalization of relations with Saudi Arabia.
