German historian Mirko Kühn believes he has located a secret underground Nazi aircraft hangar near Altenburg Airport in Thuringia, Germany. The hangar, codenamed Alpendohle, was reportedly capable of accommodating up to ten airplanes. Kühn used old aerial photographs and documentary evidence to identify the hangar and conducted a measurement of a magnetic field to support his suspicions. The area has long been the subject of myths and speculation, with some believing it may contain the stolen Amber Room and a secret Nazi cult site. The hangar is believed to have been built using the labor of Soviet prisoners of war.
