Jordan's King Abdullah rejects any attempts to annex land and displace Palestinians, in response to U.S. President Trump's idea of resettling Palestinians from Gaza and developing it economically. King Abdullah reaffirmed full Jordanian support for the Palestinians during a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Trump is scheduled to meet with King Abdullah on Feb. 11 at the White House to discuss the issue. Jordan, Egypt, and other Arab nations reject the idea of Palestinians in Gaza being moved to their countries, as Gaza is land that Palestinians would want as part of a future independent state.
