US President Donald Trump has imposed sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC), targeting individuals involved in investigations of US citizens or allies. The move comes as Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the ICC, visits Washington. The US has not yet announced the names of those sanctioned. The ICC is a permanent court that prosecutes war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and aggression, but the US, China, Russia, and Israel are not members.
