A Mirage-2000 fighter jet of the IAF crashed near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh due to a technical malfunction. The two pilots ejected safely and a court of inquiry has been ordered to determine the cause of the accident. The IAF has around 50 Mirage-2000s in its fleet, which have undergone a major upgrade. The Mirage-2000s were used in the bombing of a JeM terror facility in Pakistan in 2019.
