A property boss from Merseyside hid his fraud jail time behind a new name and manipulated the identity of a former tenant to make it appear as though an investor from the Middle East was buying properties. He changed his name to Scott El Paraiso in 2011 during a sentence for defrauding customers. Under his new name, he co-founded Urban Evolution Property Management and managed thousands of student flats. Leaseholders in Sheffield were later informed of his true identity, but he denied having a previous name or criminal past.
