Regulator indicts Victory, Yochananof CEOs over price fixing

The Israel Competition Authority has issued indictments against the CEOs of Victory Supermarket Chain and Yochananof and Sons following a food price fixing investigation. The charges include attempts to make cartel arrangements in the food industry and violations of the Food Law. The indictment is based on public statements made by the CEOs and restrictive arrangements between the companies. The CEOs are also accused of intervening in the consumer prices of rival retailers. The Competition Authority is still examining evidence for other suspects and will make a decision on whether to file indictments.
