The family of two women who were murdered by an abusive partner have welcomed a new law in their name after they phoned the police 14 times for help. The law, known as Raneem's Law, will see domestic abuse specialists working in emergency control rooms in five police forces. The family described the failures of the police as 'beyond imagination'. The new law aims to provide better support and protection for victims of domestic abuse.
