The number of religious women enlisting in combat roles in the IDF has increased since the October 7 massacre. In response to this demand, the IDF has launched a combat field intelligence platoon for religious female soldiers. Two modern-Orthodox women in the platoon discuss how it meets their religious requirements and addresses the challenges they face as lone soldiers. They express their determination to serve and defend their country, and how the religious platoon has strengthened their faith and provided a support system. They also discuss the mental challenges of being a lone soldier and the support they receive from their families and fellow soldiers.
