India's External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, expressed support for a 'two-state solution' to resolve the conflict in Gaza at a meeting of G20 foreign ministers. This is the first time India has reiterated its support for the solution since US President Donald Trump announced his plan to relocate Palestinians in Gaza to Jordan and Egypt. Jaishankar also backed direct engagement between Russia and Ukraine to end the Ukraine war, in contrast to US efforts to engage only Russia. He further expressed support for the Gaza ceasefire, hostage release, humanitarian assistance, and condemnation of terrorism.
