Edan Alexander is the last living American hostage in Hamas captivity in Gaza. He was taken hostage in October 2023 and a video of him speaking in Hebrew and Arabic was released in November 2024. Lawmakers in Israel and the United States have been fighting for his release, but he was not included in the first phase of the ceasefire deal. Efforts are being made to reunite him with his family and community as soon as possible.
