The Hebrew University Jerusalem is celebrating its centenary and is proud to announce that two of its faculty members have been named as Israel Prize laureates. Prof. Ruth Kark from the Department of Geography has been recognized for her geographical research and knowledge of the Land of Israel, while Prof. Dwora Gilula of the Department of Classical Studies and the Department of Theater History has been recognized for her work in literature, poetry, and translation into Hebrew. The awards highlight the exceptional contributions of both women to their respective fields and their dedication to uncovering the contributions of women in Israeli society.
