Cold War agent tricked rape victim into believing he was her lost son

A Cold War agent, Vaclav Jelinek, posed as Johanna van Haarlem's long-lost son, Erwin, for nearly a decade, tricking her into believing they were related. Jelinek, who was trained as a spy, used his cover as Erwin to infiltrate British Jewish groups and gather intelligence for the Soviet Union. The deception was eventually uncovered, and Jelinek was arrested and sentenced to ten years in prison. Johanna, now 100 years old, was able to find her real son, Ivo Radek, in 1991, and they were reunited after decades of separation.
