Former University of Bristol lecturer David Miller, who was sacked following complaints from Jewish students, attended the funeral of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon. Miller, who won a tribunal ruling that anti-Zionism is a legally protected characteristic, shared footage of the ceremony on social media. He called on the UK government to stop recognising Hezbollah as a proscribed terrorist organisation. Hundreds of thousands of people attended the funeral in Beirut, where Nasrallah's successor Naim Qassem vowed to continue the 'resistance' against Israel.
