Irish leaders are boycotting St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the U.S. in protest of President Trump's comments calling for the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza. The Irish prime minister will attend without Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald and Northern Ireland First Minister Michelle O'Neill. McDonald and O'Neill both criticized Trump's comments as a breach of international law and a departure from the U.N. position of peace and security. The boycott has been met with criticism from Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party.
