Wizz Air will launch the UK's only non-stop flights to the Saudi Arabian city of Medina from Gatwick Airport starting in August. The budget airline will use a new Airbus A321XLR plane, which has enhanced fuel capacity and a maximum range of up to 11 hours. Single fares for the new route will start at £233.99. Wizz Air already has an extensive network in the Middle East, and the new route is seen as an important milestone for the airline as it expands its network beyond Europe.
