Trump unlikely to notice absence of NI politicians at White House -...

Alliance Party leader Naomi Long has stated that US President Donald Trump's ego is so big that he is unlikely to notice the absence of Northern Ireland politicians in Washington on St Patrick's Day. Long confirmed that she will not be traveling to the US next month and does not respect Trump. Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald and party vice president Michelle O'Neill have also said they will not attend events in Washington, DC as a principled stance against Trump's threat of mass expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza. However, Northern Ireland's deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly, from the DUP, will still travel to the US.
