The US Treasury has imposed sanctions on more than 30 people and vessels involved in Iranian petroleum-related projects. The sanctions target oil brokers, tanker operators, and managers in various jurisdictions, as well as the head of Iran's National Iranian Oil Company and the Iranian Oil Terminals Company. The vessels sanctioned are responsible for shipping millions of barrels of Iranian oil. These actions are part of the US government's efforts to put maximum pressure on Iran's oil sector.
