Rebuilding work has begun in Kibbutz Nirim, one of the Israeli communities worst hit by the 2023 attack, as residents consider returning. The community is rebuilding after the ceasefire took effect on January 19, and houses are being renovated and repaired. The attack resulted in the deaths of 1,218 people, and the militants killed four residents of Nirim. Adele Raemer, an Israeli-American resident, is determined to make the community beautiful again and plans to move back into her home. However, the decision to return permanently depends on the fragile truce between Israel and Hamas.
