A proposed bill in New York could result in jail time for anti-Israel protesters who wave flags of terror groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. The bill, known as the Stand Against Flags of Enemy Terrorists Act, would expand the definition of aggravated harassment to include displaying symbols of foreign terrorist organizations with the intent to harass, annoy, or threaten others. Those found guilty could face up to four years in jail. The bill is being introduced by New York State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal and New York Assemblyman Micah Lasher, both Democrats.
