The Moroccan Ministry of Culture has added three Jewish monuments in Asillah to the country's national heritage list. The monuments include the Kahal Synagogue, Jewish cemetery, and mikveh. The addition of these sites came after a request from the Moroccan Jewish community and provides them with legal protection under local historic conservation laws.
