Russia has blocked Pavel Durov-owned messaging app Telegram in the regions of Dagestan and Chechnya due to concerns that it could be used by enemies. The decision to block the app was made at the federal level, according to Dagestan's digital development minister. Telegram had previously condemned an anti-Israel riot in Dagestan and said it would block the channels involved. The company has not yet responded to the recent blocks in Russia.
