Trump Moves To Deport Columbia Hamasnik

The Trump administration has deported a Columbia student activist who supports Hamas, in a move to target foreign Hamasniks causing trouble on college campuses. The activist, Mahmoud Khalil, had his visa and green card revoked by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This action serves as a warning to foreign students on temporary status in America that if they support terror groups, they will be deported. In other news, the Trump administration may be targeting Northwestern's Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing (ISGMH) as it takes aim at diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in higher education. The institute received a $1.3 million grant from Joe Biden's NIH in 2022 and hosted a summer program for graduate scholars that was only offered to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and sexual and gender minorities. The program's racial and sexual requirements could prompt legal challenges. Finally, the Biden EPA's DEIA implementation team used taxpayer dollars to implement all-gender bathrooms and police pronoun use, according to internal documents and communications. The EPA's LGBTQIA+ Workgroup achieved many of its objectives, including increasing the number of gender-neutral restrooms and locker rooms across the agency's facilities.
