The Movement for Quality Government in Israel (MQG) has called for a criminal investigation into Education Minister Yoav Kisch over allegations of cronyism. Kisch is accused of giving preferential treatment, including prioritization of ministry funding, to certain cities with Likud mayors who could influence his position in the next Likud primary election. Kisch has denied the allegations. The MQG has compared this case to a previous investigation into Transportation Minister Miri Regev, also from the Likud party.
