Israeli police have recovered a monkey that was illegally held in an improvised cage near Kibbutz Mashabei Sadeh. The monkey was found during an operation led by Segev Shalom police officers and was later transferred to the Israel Nature and Parks Authority (INPA) for medical examination and care. This recovery is part of ongoing efforts to address the illegal possession of wild animals, with eight monkeys and three lion cubs already being recovered in collaboration with the INPA. The INPA has emphasized that keeping protected wildlife in private possession is prohibited due to the risks it poses to both the animals and the public.
