The Knesset has amended the Firearms Law to allow medically discharged soldiers under the age of 21 to apply for firearm licenses. The amendment was proposed by MK Yitzhak Kreuzer and received support from 14 other MKs. The new proposal allows any combat soldier over 18 to own a weapon, even if they did not complete their military service due to medical reasons. The bill aims to strengthen the connection between the state and its fighters.
