A senior NHS doctor is facing backlash after making anti-Semitic comments and slurs against David Lammy. Aqeel Jamil, a consultant gastroenterologist, accused Israel of helping Hamas commit a massacre and made derogatory remarks about Israelis. The Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust has launched an investigation into Dr Jamil's comments. The General Medical Council is also looking into the matter.
