Costa Rica has been named the friendliest country for expats in a survey by InterNations. The survey asked foreign residents in 53 countries to rate their new home based on social life, feeling at home, cultural adaptation, and friendliness of the local population. Costa Rica topped the list, with 88% of expats feeling very welcome and 83% feeling at home. Mexico came in second place, with 73% of expats feeling positive about their social life and 85% feeling welcome. Kuwait ranked as the least friendly country for expats, with only 26% feeling welcome and 49% not feeling at home.
