The Navy has deployed an additional warship, the USS Spruance, to the southern border to aid in efforts to curb illegal immigration and drug smuggling. The goal of the mission is to restore territorial integrity at the U.S. southern border. The destroyer will enhance maritime efforts, support interagency collaboration, and contribute to a coordinated response to combating various threats. The deployment is in line with executive orders signed by President Donald Trump.
