An Israeli air strike in southern Gaza killed a Hamas political member, Salah al-Bardaweel, on Sunday, as the death toll from the conflict reaches over 50,000. Hamas confirmed the strike and the Israeli military stated that it further degrades Hamas' capabilities. Israel launched a new all-out air and ground campaign against Hamas after a two-month period of relative calm. Explosions were heard throughout Gaza as Israeli planes targeted various areas. At least 30 Palestinians were killed in the strikes on Sunday. The health ministry reported that over 50,000 Palestinians have been killed since the beginning of the war.
