Archaeologists have discovered a well-preserved Byzantine-period monastery and farmhouse in Naḥal Peḥar, near Beersheba. The monastery includes a chapel, dining room, kitchen, service wings, and a winepress. The complex also features a unique mosaic with a Maltese cross and a Greek inscription. The farmhouse includes a rectangular watchtower and a coin dating to the sixth century. The findings were published in 'Atiqot by the Israel Antiquities Authority.
