Germany's ambassador to Israel criticized the alleged detention of a German journalist, Christian Meier, who had been working in the West Bank. Meier was reportedly investigating attacks on Palestinian herders at the time of his detention. The journalist was released on the condition that he not enter the West Bank for 15 days. The Foreign Press Association has filed a complaint.
