Is Change Really Coming to Columbia? Katrina Armstrong's Answer Depends on Who's Asking.

Columbia's interim president, Katrina Armstrong, is facing criticism for her conflicting messages regarding policy changes at the university. While a memo released to the public indicated changes to policies on masked protests and disciplinary procedures, Armstrong privately assured faculty members that there would be no changes. The conflicting messages raise doubts about whether Columbia will be able to negotiate the restoration of federal funds. In another development, a lawsuit has been filed accusing student group Students for Justice in Palestine and its parent organization of acting as Hamas's PR firm. The suit seeks to hold Columbia University Apartheid Divest and other groups accountable for damages. Additionally, pamphlets found in Columbia's library provide instructions on resisting ICE and campus protests, possibly linked to an anarchist group.
