Israeli health organization LeMa'anchem warns of the risks posed to patients by the unregulated use of AI tools by healthcare professionals. Chairman Rabbi Yossi Erblich sent an urgent letter to the Health Minister, detailing cases of medical errors caused by AI usage. He called for the establishment of ethical guidelines and usage protocols for AI in healthcare, as well as oversight mechanisms and sanctions for those who endanger human life. The letter was co-signed by medical professionals and leaders in the field.
