The United Nations envoy for Lebanon has called for restraint after Israel launched airstrikes in southern Lebanon in response to rocket fire. The envoy warned that a return to full-scale conflict between Israel and Hezbollah would be devastating for civilians on both sides and must be avoided. The clashes come four months into a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
