A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration's attempt to deport a Tufts University PhD student accused of supporting Hamas. Rumeysa Ozturk, a Turkish national, was arrested by ICE officers in Boston and later transported to a facility in Louisiana. The judge ruled that Ozturk cannot be deported while the court determines jurisdiction over her case. The department of homeland security has alleged Ozturk of being a Hamas supporter but has not presented any evidence to support the claim.
