Armstrong Out at Columbia and Pay for Play at MSNBC

Katrina Armstrong steps down as president of Columbia University after just seven months, amid a standoff with the Trump administration over the cancellation of federal grant money. Claire Shipman, a Columbia board member and former ABC journalist, will replace her. Rev. Al Sharpton is under scrutiny for hosting union bosses on his MSNBC show while his nonprofit, the National Action Network, received over $6 million in donations from those unions. The donations were not disclosed during the interviews. Human Rights Watch is accused of relying on researchers linked to groups tied to Islamist terrorists for reports accusing Israel of war crimes. The organization receives funding from left-leaning U.S. foundations. Rewiring America, an environmental coalition that received a $2 billion grant from the Biden administration, is being sued by the Trump EPA after it terminated the grant. The coalition is led by Rewiring America, where Stacey Abrams served as senior counsel and senior adviser during the grant application process.
