Hundreds of international students in the US are being asked to self-deport due to alleged campus activism, including some Indian students who may have shared social media posts. The crackdown is based on social media reviews conducted by the Department of State, and even new student applications will come under scrutiny. Students found 'guilty' will be denied the opportunity to study in the US. More than 300 foreign students have already had their student visas revoked. Students are being asked to self-deport using the CBP Home App, and must physically present their passport to the US consulate to cancel their visa.
