The Israeli Tax Authority has introduced a new digital donation system for approved charities, making it easier for donors to access tax relief. The system allows public institutions to transfer donation information directly to the ITA's computer system, eliminating the need for donors to save physical receipts. The system assigns a special number to each donation receipt, which is stored in each taxpayer's personal area to facilitate claiming the tax break. The new system currently only applies to charities that issue digital receipts, but a separate system is being developed for charities that still issue paper receipts.
