A Ukrainian refugee has launched a boxing academy in the UK to provide joy and self-confidence for young people. Oleksandr Pohodin, a former amateur boxer, fled Ukraine with his family due to the constant Russian bombardment. He founded the Pohodin Boxing Academy in Sheffield and received support from Brendan Warburton, the founder of Sheffield City Boxing Club. Pohodin teaches a wide range of age groups and backgrounds and believes that spending time at the gym helps children develop new skills and feel more self-confident.
