EU regulators will decide by May 12 whether to clear ADNOC's takeover of Covestro, a German chemicals company, in a deal worth 15.9 billion euros. The European Commission can either clear the deal with or without conditions or open a four-month investigation. Non-EU companies acquiring EU companies can be subject to the bloc's Foreign Subsidies Regulation.
