The CPM has called for extensive consultations with political parties and state governments to reach a consensus on delimitation. They oppose any delimitation process that diminishes the proportional share of representation of any state in Parliament. The party also demands the conduct of a general census, including a caste census, to protect the interests of different regions and states. The CPM supports the demand for a caste census to have an accurate count of various categories of Other Backward Classes. The party congress also resolved to support the independence, integrity, and transparency of the Election Commission and condemned Israel's attacks on Gaza.
