US deputy special envoy for the Middle East, Morgan Ortagus, met with Lebanese officials to discuss border disagreements and the disarmament of Hezbollah. Ortagus demanded that Lebanese authorities establish a clear schedule for Hezbollah's disarmament and pushed for talks between Israel and Lebanon on border demarcation. The three Lebanese officials outlined a Lebanese position on the border demarcation and other remaining issues between the two countries. The IDF has recently struck Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, and two US lawmakers warned the Lebanese Armed Forces about meeting ceasefire requirements.
