A London Underground passenger witnessed a man openly smoking crack cocaine on the Tube, highlighting growing concerns about rising crime levels on the network. Tube crime rates have more than doubled since 2016, with similar increases on the Overground, DLR, and Elizabeth line. Poplar station on the DLR has the highest crime rate per passenger, with 46 crimes committed last year. The incident, which occurred during rush hour, was captured on video and shared on Reddit. The passenger reported the incident to Transport for London (TfL), but was told there was little they could do as the man was a well-known addict.
