Tel Aviv and Berlin have become twin cities based on shared values, historical responsibility, and a commitment to a better future for the next generations. The mayors of the two cities announced the partnership, which aims to strengthen ties and fight against antisemitism. Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huldai expressed gratitude to Berlin's mayor for his support of Israel's right to self-defense. The twinning of Tel Aviv and Berlin will be the 19th for Berlin and the 22nd for Tel Aviv.
