Metulla residents are petitioning the High Court to be excluded from the government's plans to return residents to the north. They are demanding training and regulation for the emergency response team, addressing the state of infrastructure, and removing all weapons from public and private places. Metulla Council head David Azoulay stated that the residents will return in an orderly manner to a town that is ready to provide security and services. Azoulay also sent letters to request the return be postponed and to prioritize security.
