The Transport Secretary has condemned a Tube passenger for openly smoking crack cocaine on the Victoria line during rush hour. Tube crime rates have more than doubled since 2016, and offences have also increased on the Overground, DLR, and Elizabeth line. A recent analysis shows that Poplar station on the DLR has the highest rate of crimes per million passengers.
