A billionaire American-Palestinian businessman, Bashar Masri, has been sued by families of victims of the October 7 terror attack in Israel, accusing him of allowing Hamas to construct infrastructure for the attack. The lawsuit claims that Masri knew that Hamas militants were building tunnels underneath his properties in Gaza. Masri denies the allegations and is seeking to have the lawsuit dismissed. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of 200 plaintiffs, including the family of one of the victims. Masri has been involved in advising Trump's envoy seeking the release of Hamas hostages and has been linked with plans to rebuild Gaza after the war.
